Conceptual devices to turn information into visual knowledge. To lead to a synthesis between design, architecture and visual culture. To suggest a new order of shared values as principle for a different arrangement of the world and its boundaries that define the mutual interaction between subject and context.
The work of Antonio Scarponi deals with practices
of imaginary subversion able to disclose, through careful and unusual
cartographical representations, new ways of interpretation and new
perspectives with a strong political and civil importance.
His solo exhibition at the Galleria Contemporaneo gathers some works
never shown together before and displayed, on this occasion, in a completely
different format.
The exhibition project means to give a wide and, at the same time,
thorough and focussed view of an artistic research that involves both
our private daily life and the knowledge categories which are the playground
for relations and issues that our time arouses.
Antonio Scarponi was born in Rimini in 1974. He currently lives and works between Venice and Zürich.
